Creating a Culture of Equity & Inclusion

August 27, 2015 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Join local environmental education colleagues to learn, share, and acquire new tools.

Are you seeking strategies to make your environmental education programming even more relevant to audiences you serve? Is your organizational culture welcoming and safe to the young people you serve? Are you attracting and retaining a diverse workforce?

At this ChangeScale convening we will explore strategies to become more effective at reaching, engaging, and inspiring our next generation of environmental leaders. LEAPS for Environmental Literacy Initiative colleagues, Together Brave, and Learning for Action will join us to share the results of their cluster studies – a collective evaluation effort to measure core program components across organizations. LEAPS Facilitators will offer activities and tips that you can implement right away!

ABOUT LEAPS

The LEAPS (Leadership and Evaluation to Advance Program Success) for Environmental Literacy Initiative is comprised of 17 Bay Area youth leadership and environmental stewardship organizations.

  • Engage adolescents in relevant and supportive early employment experiences.
  • Learn how youth explore, connect with, and meaningfully engage with the environment through programs.
  • Create safe and welcoming spaces for youth populations traditionally underrepresented in the environmental movement.
