Understanding Our Unconscious Bias

August 30, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 2:30 pm

Creating culturally relevancy is critical to our ability to design effective environmental learning experiences.

Are you seeking strategies to build your organization’s capacity to decrease unconscious bias and increase the cultural relevancy of your environmental education programs? Are you interested in connecting with other like-minded organizations that are working to promote equitable and inclusive organizations?

Join us for ChangeScale’s August 2017 convening facilitated by our partners from Youth Outside. At this event, we’ll will gather with colleagues from environmental learning organizations throughout San Francisco and Monterey Bay Area to explore how unconscious bias and individual perceptions impact daily interactions and how these can manifest in program delivery. At this event, you’ll also have the opportunity to connect with a network of organizations in the region that are working toward similar objectives and to participate in a supportive community of learning.

Doors open at 9:30 am. This event will be from 10 am to 2:30 pm, followed by a networking reception. Morning snacks, lunch, and refreshments will be served.

Please note:

  • Doors will open at 9:30 am.
  • Tickets will not be available at the door.
